To become a registered vendor with the Polk County Sheriff's Office you will need to fill out a vendor registration form. Please email purchasing@polksheriff.org and request the required forms. Once completed and returned, your information will be entered into our database.

Goals and Objectives

The Purchasing Section's primary gold and objective is to ensure that the Polk County taxpayers receive quality good and services at the most competitive price. We invite all businesses to participate in our purchasing process.

Mission

The Purchasing Unit is committed to procuring goods and services in the most efficient and cost effective way to achieve the best price consistent with the quality needed to meet the requirements of the Sheriff’s Office.

Values

The Purchasing Unit members shall work together to create innovative approaches to the procurement process for the benefit of our customers and the Sheriff’s Office. The Unit shall strive to create a friendly work environment through teamwork, respect, integrity, and honest communication.

Vision

The Purchasing Unit shall seek to maximize the purchasing power of public funds, while promoting fair and open competition. The Unit shall follow a strict code of ethics, avoiding the appearance of, and preventing the opportunity for, favoritism.

NIGP Accreditation

The Polk County Sheriff's Office has attained the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) Accreditation for Quality Public Procurement Departments (QPPD). This award formally recognizes excellence in Public Procurement by establishing a body of standards that should be in place for a solid purchasing operation.
